Ophydian Destroyers

Ophydian Destroyers are Necrons consumed by the Destroyer Curse, whose collapsing psyches have driven them to reshape their own bodies into serpentine predators. They slither forward at impossible speed, carving through enemy ranks with hyperphase glaives while their mechanical tails crush armour. They are specialists in armoured prey: they prefer to encircle vehicles and ambush than to fight in the open. Where they appear, Imperial soldiers describe the sound of metal scraping over rock as the worst omen of death. The Curse has reduced what they once were to something almost indistinguishable from a pure predator.
